Profile - Roger Richardson

Richardson' recruitment is starting to gather steam following his first offer from Georgia Tech. "I am starting to hear from a lot of schools." Tech hopes Roger follows in the foot steps of former Good Counsel players Louis Young and Roderick Chungong. "I was glad to get my first offer from Tech, especially since I know some players from my school that have played there or are still playing there."

Roger and current Tech player Roderick Chungong talk quite a bit. "He says it is a great school. He likes the education he is getting there." Roger wants to major in business and Chungong has told him that the business school is one of the best in the country.

Georgia Tech Coach Joe Speed and Roger have kept in touch throughout his recruitment. When they last talked, Coach Speed offered Richardson. "He told me that they really like my film especially my coverage skills and run support. It is a great feeling to know he feels that way about me." North Carolina State is another school showing interest in Roger. Richardson recently visited State. Old Dominion, Iowa and UConn are some other school recruiting Richardson.

The next visit for Richardson will be to Georgia Tech for their spring game. "I really like the Atlanta area and being from D.C, I like the city life a lot." Richardson is looking forward to the game and getting to see Atlanta.

Tech is one of the favorites for Roger. "I like the fact that they have a presence in my area and have some players from my school." Tech's business school and it's image with companies will be another positive factor for Tech. "They have a lot of things that I like."

Look for Richardson to make his decision by the summer or before his senior season begins. Top Stories
