"It's a great school that I fell in love with right way." Thomas learned a lot about the school on the visit and he also made some new friends. "A group of recruits that made the trip from Ohio were there and we hit it off. This was a very good trip."
Thomas had a chance to see how Tech sets up internships, for its players, with area companies. "I really value my education a lot. I am graduating early and play to enroll early and academics will play a huge part in me choosing a school." Getting to see the value of a Tech degree was one of the highlights of the visit for Thomas.
The athletic facilities also impressed Danny. "The weight room, players lounge, and indoor facility were great. I also noticed they were remodeling some of the other facilities."
The 6'2"-222 Thomas was told that he was what they want at outside linebacker. "They like my versatility." Tech will be traveling to Tallahassee to watch Danny during his spring practice and also to watch him play during his senior season. "They know it is my choice as to where I go but they hope I choose them when my offer comes around."
A return visit to Tech is being planned by Thomas. Danny recently visited Auburn and he hopes to visit South Florida and Florida Atlantic. Cincinnati is the current leader for Thomas. "USF and UMass are right behind them." An offer from Georgia Tech would change Danny's list. "Tech would become my favorite, my top school."
Look for Thomas to make a decision by the end of the summer before he goes back to school.
