Tampa Plant defensive lineman Kyle Henderson and a few of his teammates took advantage of their spring break to visit some schools around the South. Henderson hoped to use the trip to pick up some new offers.
The trip for Kyle was long but good. "I got to know more about some schools and got a chance to get closer to some more offers." Kyle was hoping to receive some new offers but some of the schools didn't have their entire staffs there when he visited.
The first stop on their trip was to Clemson. "I got to watch them go through practice and talk to the coaches." Kyle feels they are close to offering. Clemson will be visiting Tampa Plant to watch him practice this spring. "It was a very good visit."
The next stop on the tour was at Wake Forest. Henderson had received an offer from Wake on an earlier visit. "We talked to the coaches and saw a little more of the school." Kyle liked being able to visit without having to worry about getting an offer. "I like Wake. It is a nice campus."
The final stop on the tour was Tennessee. Kyle was hoping to get an offer on the visit. "We didn't get a chance to do much there. We got a small tour of the football facilities but that was about all we got to do." However, Kyle hopes to return to Tennessee in the summer. Henderson had also planned to visit Georgia Tech on their way home but they were short of time. "Georgia Tech is one school I want to get to know more about. Henderson has decided to attend Tech's summer camp in June. "Georgia Tech offers a lot of what I am looking for in a school and I want to see everything first hand." The visit will allow him to find out more about the school. "Georgia Tech recruits a lot in the Tampa area and is well known there, so I want to be able to get a full tour when I'm there." Kyle is looking forward to talking to his recruiting coach, the head coach, and his position coach on the visit. Henderson' offer total is now at eight. "Wake Forest, Indiana, and Georgia Tech are ones that are recruiting me the hardest." Kyle is not ready to name any favorites at this time.
