Last month, Washington County (GA) defensive end/outside linebacker Logan Hunt received an offer from Georgia Tech. Logan has since made a few visits to other schools and may be close to making a decision.
Following the offer from Tech, many felt Logan was close to committing to them. That still seems to be the consensus. Logan has been in contact with Coach Mike Sewak and the other Tech coaches about making his decision. "I am about 95% sure I will be committing to them."
Logan wanted to take a few visits before he makes that decision. "This decision will affect the next four years of my life and really the rest of my life depending on what type of degree I get." A Georgia Tech degree, playing in a major conference, and playing with Tech commit A.J. Gray are all factors that have Hunt favoring Tech.
Two more visits have been planned by Hunt. "I will be visiting Florida State and then back to Georgia Tech for the spring game."
We also talked to Logan's mom about her son's recruitment. "I want what is best for him but I also want him to make his own decision with a good idea about his choices." She suggested to Logan that a few visits to other schools would be a good idea.
It has been ten years since she has been to Tech and she is looking forward to the upcoming visit. "I understand it has changed a lot. As a mom, you do worry about the big city life but hearing how much for the better it has changed, I just want to get up there to see for myself."
The plan is for both Logan and his mom to attend the spring game. "I told Logan that we would get up there this month. I think he is waiting for me to come up there to make sure I am 100% behind him in making a commitment to Georgia Tech. If he makes Tech his choice, I will be very happy for him."
The conversations between Logan and Coach Sewak have been along those same lines. "He says he is wants Logan to commit to Georgia Tech and is ready when he is." Logan's mom know he is ready to make his decision but wants him to be sure. "I want him to be 100% sure."
