Going into the trip his mom had some concerns about Atlanta but all that changed once they got to see the campus. "They fell in love with it." Darius' mom also got to meet the coaches. "She got to see what I like about them and she loved what they had to say." The coaches spoke with her about Darius getting his degree and how they would treat him.
The coaches were excited to get Darius back on campus. They showed Darius how he would fit in the defense as a strong side defensive end and how he would improve what they were doing. "They let me know they really want me there. I can really tell they want me to be a part of the program."
While he likes Georgia Tech a lot, Darius wanted to set the record straight about the schools that are showing him interest. "I recently said I had some schools I liked but I never intended that to be my top five." Darius has several schools that have his interest but he doesn't have a top five. "I am looking at Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, Miami. Kentucky, Michigan State, Penn State, and Ohio State." Darius plans to announce his top five in a few weeks.
Will Tech be in that top five? "I have a very strong feeling they will be. The staff is very cool, I love the program, the campus, and the city of Atlanta." Darius also talked to former teammate and current Tech defensive end Rod Chungong. He told Darius that he loved it at Tech. "I can't think of a negative thing about Georgia Tech."
Darius had planned to visit Alabama on Saturday but was not feeling well. "Right now I'm not sure. My uncle was sick and I think I caught what he has and I don't feel that well." Darius may just spend some time at his grandmother's in Montgomery until his Monday flight home.
