Monroe High School in Albany, Georgia gave Georgia Tech offensive lineman Bryan Chamberlain. Georgia Tech now has their sights set on Monroe defensive tackle Brentavious Glanton.

Glanton called Georgia Tech Coach Mike Pelton today and the call led to offer number eight for Glanton. "I've had a lot of contact with him and Coach (Ted) Roof lately and this is a very good result of staying in contact with them over the past few weeks."

Coach Roof was in Albany last week to watch Glanton practice. Coach Roof then had Coach Pelton come down to watch Glanton. Coach Pelton liked what he saw from Glanton and Tech decided to offer Glanton. "He mentioned to my coach that he would love to talk to me."

The offer from Tech put a big smile on Glanton's face. Since middle school, Brentavious has had Tech on a list of schools that he would like to receive an offer from. "The fact that they have offered is great and I am looking forward to talking with the coaches throughout my recruitment."

Brentavious was also invited to Tech for their June camp. "Coach Pelton wants to work with me and talk with me more and get to know me even better." Glanton will be going to the camp with two or three of his teammates.

Prior to the offer from Georgia Tech, Brentavious felt that Marshall and Wake Forest were recruiting him the hardest.

Sports Medicine is the planned major for Glanton. "Finding a school that has a major that relates to that is important." Glanton is also looking for a school with the big city feel. A final factor for Brentavious in choosing a school will be his relationship with the coaching staff.

Glanton is not in a hurry to make his college decision. He plans on waiting until signing day. In the meantime, if he finds a school that feels right for him, he'll make an earlier decision. Top Stories
