"I have decided to attend Georgia Tech and play football for the Yellow Jackets. I knew after spending two days here that this us where I want to be for then rest of my college career."

Kagawa's parents are on board with the decision. They initally wanted Shaun to go to Georgia Tech. "They were thrilled when I told them I wanted to come to Georgia Tech."

Initially, Shaun will be used as the 3rd safety in the nickel package. "As I get more playing time, I could see some action as a strong or free safety."

Shaun arrived at Tech not knowing what to expect. "Once I got here, the coaches, grad assistants, and player personnel coaches really made feel welcomed and at home." Shaun toured the school looking at both the football and the academic side of things.

"I love what Georgia Tech has to offer academically. That was a huge plus." Shaun was also impressed with the football facilities and the football program. "Everything just clicked for me and it was really an easy decision to make."

Kagawa spent time with a few of the player personnel assistants."I really liked Coach (Pete) Hurt and Coach Saeed (Khalif)." Shaun also got to hang out with defensive coordinator Ted Roof. Kagawa knew Coach Roof from his time at Auburn. "I hope to be able to prove to him and the rest of the coaches that I am a good player."

"I can tell you these past two days have been so exciting and fun. Everyone is as excited as I am. I just can't describe how happy I am."

Shaun will not have to sign an LOI with Tech having already signed one with SMU before deciding to go to Army Prep School. "I will come in as a true freshman this June and have the normal 5 years to play 4." Shaun has signed all the papers to be admitted to Tech and will return to campus for orientation June 17th.
