Etowah, Georgia defensive line recruit Scott Morgan and his brother Brad attended the recent Georgia Tech recruiting event. Scott left the event with a great feel for Tech.
"I had a blast at Georgia Tech." Scott loved that Tech rolled out the red carpet for the recruits and made everyone feel important.
Scott had a chance to meet other recruits and he met with several of the coaches. Scott had visited Tech in the spring and felt that this visit was different than the earlier visit.
Coach Paul Johnson, Coach Andy McCollum, Coach Mike Pelton, and Coach Mike Sewak all met with Scott. "They told me they were pleased I came today and even more pleased that I was coming back Saturday for their camp." The coaches will be watching Scott with the possibility of an offer. The coaches look at Scott as either a defensive tackle or strong side defensive end.
The Morgan brothers have talked about playing college ball together but are taking different routes. While Brad would commit on the spot if offered by Tech, Scott is looking to see what other offers he can get. "I love Georgia Tech a lot and the staff is cool but I have to do what is best for me. We each have to make our own decision."
A decision on which school he'll attend will probably be made around the time his senior season begins. Two factors will be involved in the decision. Scott will be looking for the school where he can get the best education and he will also be looking for the school where he can get on the field as early as possible.
