Profile - Trent Sellers
Sandy Creek High School has sent many players to Georgia Tech. They range from Calvin Johnson to Corey Griffin in last year's class. Today they continued the pipeline with a commit from defensive end Trent Sellers.
"I decided that Georgia Tech was the perfect fit for me." Sellers decided to commit after his visit to Tech this week.
On his visit, Trent met with the academic tutoring personnel and they showed him the support he would receive. Sellers also toured the football facilities. Sellers especially liked the locker room and the stadium. "I know they are working on some improvements in some of the facilities and that shows Georgia Tech is doing what it takes to make sure the players have the best available to them."
Coach Ted Roof and Coach Mike Pelton visited Trent this spring during the evaluation period. He received an invite to visit Tech and was offered on his visit. "I decided today that is was time to do what I knew was right for me. I called the coaches and gave them my commitment."
Trent likes the way that Coach Roof and Coach Pelton relates to players. He knows that he'll be able to learn a lot from them. "We really hit it off from the start."
The coaches haven't decide where they'll play Trent. He is 6'3 1/2"-230 and still growing. "Coach Roof mentioned that it looks like I will be a defensive end when all is said and done." Trent feels he can carry more weight and maintain his speed.
Trent plans to visit again this summer and will also be attending games in the fall and then his official later in the year. He won't be making any more visits other than those to Tech. "I'm glad that I'm coming to Georgia Tech to continue the tradition of Sandy Creek players going to Georgia Tech."
