Carrolton, Georgia cornerback Dante Wigley had been rumored to be a Georgia Tech lean. Now that the dead period was over, Dante and his mom made the trip to Tech and confirmed those rumors by giving them his verbal commit.

Dante described the visit as great. Wigley had previously visited Tech but didn’t get to see as much as he did today. "The campus is much bigger and much nicer than I had thought it would be.”

Wigley was especially impressed with the facilities where the Atlanta Olympics were held as well as the new athletic facilities that have been built. “My mom and I really enjoyed the trip."

The tour of the campus ended with Dante committing to Georgia Tech. Wigley gave his commit to Coach Paul Johnson. “He said he was glad to have me aboard and welcomed me to the Georgia Tech family.”

“Everything that I wanted in a college is right there. A degree from Georgia Tech is one that can't be beat.”

Being able to go to school close to home and his family being able to see him play was another factor that led to Dante choosing Tech. Knowing a lot of the players that Tech is recruiting also was a factor. The final factor was an important one to Dante. “The coaching staff seems like they really care for you. I know my mom really likes that."

Now that he has committed to Tech, Wigley is done with his visits. "I’m going to get on Twitter when we get off the phone and announce it and then let the coaches know at the other schools that were recruiting me."

Boston College, North Carolina State, Mississippi State, Troy, and Marshall are the schools that Dante will be notifying.
