Profile - Brandon Singleton
Hahnville, Louisiana receiver Brandon Singleton visited Georgia Tech earlier this summer for their camp and fell in love with the school. Friday Brandon decided it was time to give his commit to Tech.
Getting to see the school, the city, and meet the coaches on his visit was the clincher for Singleton. “I knew this is where I want to be for college. I can tell you it is a big weight off my shoulders.”
Brandon is happy that he’ll be able to play his senior season without any pressure. Brandon has taken care of the hard part of committing by calling the other schools that recruited him. His message to them was . “I have found my home and it is Georgia Tech."
Singleton gave his decision to Coach Ted Roof and Coach Buzz Preston. The two coaches shook his hand and welcomed Brandon to the Tech family. “After we get off the phone, I’m going to call Coach (Paul) Johnson and tell him. I am looking forward to talking to him”
The relationship that Singleton built with the coaches made it easy for him to pull the trigger. “These are genuine guys that really care for you.”
Brandon’s family feels the same as he does about his decision. They sat down and discussed it before Brandon made his decision. “They felt the same as I do about Georgia Tech. They know I will get a great education."
The fact that his dad Nate played in the NFL for the Eagles, 49ers, Ravens, and the Giants isn’t putting any pressure on Brandon. “One thing he has drilled into my head is that I am Brandon and he's Nate and that I don't have to feel like I have to accomplish what he did. I will be making my own career and it will be great.” Brandon’s dad feels he has the talent to better his accomplishments.
