The early top five for Robert includes Syracuse, Florida, Ohio State, Vanderbilt, and Tennessee. Robert will announce an expanded list of 15 schools Tuesday.

Robert visited Georgia Tech last Wednesday and they could be one of the schools on the expanded list. "I feel that Georgia Tech has a great chance of making that new list.”

Georgia Tech coaches Paul Johnson and Bryan Cook made a big impression on Robert as did the school. The visit to Tech was a return one for Washington.

“I really like the city of Atlanta, especially their ties to Coca-Cola.” The city of Atlanta, the campus, and the academic standards at Tech were all pluses in Robert’s eyes.

The coaches let Robert know that he would be a great fit in their offense as a B Back. Washington could also slide over to A Back if needed. “As a running back, you have to love that. You know you will have some good touches in their offense.”

Robert plans to make a return visit to Tech this fall. "I will get with my family and see which game this season will a good one for us.”

When he sits down to make his new list, Robert will be looking at academics, the campus and social life, and how he will fit in on campus as the main factors in his decision. "Another factor will be how well I get along with the coaches.” As is the case with most recruits, playing time will also be a factor.

Washington plans to make his college choice next spring. "I hope to visit all 15 schools I am looking at and decide from those visits.”
