Profile - Ke'Shan Pennamon
The upcoming season will be the first year as a starter for the 2016 recruit. "I have several schools that are showing interest and Georgia Tech has extended an offer.”
Pennamon feels that Tech is the one school that is recruiting him the hardest. "Right now they are my leader and if I were to commit to a school tomorrow, Georgia Tech would be that school.” Tech was the first school to offer Ke’Shan. “Coach (Lamar) Owens really made us feel at home and welcome while we were at Georgia Tech."
On the visit, Ke’Shan got to see the campus and the football facilities. "The visit re-enforced that Georgia Tech is a place I can see myself playing college ball.” Pennamon’s brother Antonio Simmons is in his first year with the Tech program. “He says Tech is a great place for college and that Tech has a great group of coaches."
There are also other connections for Pennamon at Tech. “I have a cousin, Chris Milton, and another family member, Marcus Allen, that speak highly of the school.” Ke’Shan is also friends with Tech freshman corner Step Durham.
In addition to talking with Coach Owens on the visit, Ke’Shan also met with Coach Paul Johnson, Coach Ted Roof, and Coach Joe Speed. “They all had good things to say about me and want me there.”
Pennamon has given some thought to making an early commitment. In the meantime, Ke’Shan plans to return to Tech to watch them play Clemson and Miami. Once he makes his decision, Ke’Shan plans to shut down his recruitment. That decision may take place after his junior season. "I know I like Georgia Tech very much and I'm not the type that likes to string things along.”
