When his good friend Kyle Henderson committed to Georgia Tech in June, it was thought that Albany Monroe High School (GA) defensive tackle Brentavious Glanton would follow with a commit to Tech. Tuesday afternoon Glanton did just that.

Glanton is happy to be done with his recruitment. Glanton and Henderson texted back and forth today before Glanton announced his decision. “We both can't wait to get to Tech and make an impact on the defensive line.” Brentavious can now concentrate on his senior season with his commitment out of the way.

Glanton’s relationship with Coach Mike Pelton and Coach Ted Roof was a big reason why he chose Tech. “They want me to succeed.” His friendship with Tampa Plant defensive tackle Kyle Henderson was also a big factor as was the current players and commits to Tech. “You will not find a better group of players than the ones at Georgia Tech.”

The Tech coaches are looking to play Glanton at defensive tackle and Henderson at the nose. “The’re looking for me and Kyle to be a duo to be reckoned with. Both of us are looking forward to that."

The decision to choose Tech was not a last minute one. "I pretty much knew I would pick Tech for about a month now. I just wanted to do it as we kicked off our senior season."

Brentavious felt the Tech coaches knew he was going to choose them as he told them Tech was his number one team. However, he let them know a few weeks ago. “They were all excited about me coming there.”

Glanton now plans to help Tech close out their 2015 class. "Kyle and his friend Daniel Fennell talk a lot and both of us want him to come to Tech. We will also work with the other top targets.” Glanton hopes his class will make Tech a force in the ACC and the nation.

Now that he has made his decision, Brentavious will be telling the other schools that he has found his home. “I am excited to be a Yellow Jacket." Top Stories
