Campbell Enjoys GT at Tulane

Georgia Tech commit Christian Campbell was at Yulman Stadium last Saturday to watch his future teammates play Tulane. The Ponchatula, LA quarterback also had Georgia Tech Coach Bryan Cook at his game Friday night.

"I came to the game to see my future teammates play and get a good feel about how I will fit into the offense.” Christian liked what he saw from the Jackets. “I’m happy and eager to get to signing day so I can officially become a Yellow Jacket."

There is still a possibility that Christian may enroll early at Tech. Campbell is deciding whether or not enrolling early will get him early playing time rather than redshirting. “I know getting spring practice under my belt would be great. It's a difficult decision but I will know sooner than later.”

Campbell feels that he won’t have to change much in the way he currently plays quarterback. I know how to read the mesh, the option, and run the midline."

His commitment to Tech slowed down Christian’s recruitment. "To tell you the truth, all the schools know I am very solid to Georgia Tech.” Campbell is still hearing from Notre Dame. “The only thing left for me is to decide whether I report to Tech in January or June."

Before enrolling, Campbell plans to visit Tech for the Miami game. Christian plans to come in Friday and spend the weekend. “I’m anxious to get there to see what a student-athlete has to do at Georgia Tech."

Christian hasn’t had a chance yet to get together with fellow Louisiana commit Brandon Singleton. "When my high school coach takes me up to Tech for the Miami game, I’m going to get with Brandon to see if we can go together and make it a weekend to get to know more about Tech and each other since we will be teammates.” Top Stories
