Profile - Omarhi Jarrett
New Manchester High School (GA) running back Omahri Jarrett made a return trip to Georgia Tech to see Tech take on ACC foe Miami. The Tech commit talked about the game experience and his interaction with the other commits.
Jarrett was excited about about getting to witness the night game experience at Bobby Dodd Stadium. He was impressed with the students getting everyone up for the game. “I had a great time seeing where I’ll be playing next year."
Omahri had previously met fellow A Back commit Nathan Cottrell at the Georgia Southern game. The two met again at the Miami game. Jarrett also met with B Back commit Mikell Lands-Davis. The three talked about their recruiting class. They were impressed with the talent at key positions and the chance to play as freshmen. “That has got us really pumped about coming to Georgia Tech."
Ever since he gave his commit to Tech, Jarrett has remained 100% committed. "Georgia Tech wanted me when a lot of other schools didn't know who I was.” Omarhi has worked hard to show the other schools what they missed out on by not recruiting him.
Other schools are now taking interest in Jarrett. Georgia State, Georgia Southern, Appalachian State, and Middle Tennessee continue to talk to Omarhi. "It’s nice to be wanted but Georgia Tech made me feel at home and a part of the family. I know Tech is where I want and need to be."
The coaches at Tech like Jarrett as an A Back but they also like his special teams skills. "They want me to come in and return punts and kickoffs. Omarhi likes what he’s seen from Tech return man Jamal Golden. “I can see myself doing that too."
