Georgia Tech was one of the recent visits for Vick. LeGerald enjoyed the visit. "He absolutely loved the facilities there. You can tell Georgia Tech takes much pride in their basketball program and I know LeGerald felt this too.”

LeGerald got to see the campus and loved how it was tucked away inside the city of Atlanta. Vick talked with both players and students on the visit. “LeGerald wanted to see what it was like to be both a student and an athlete.” Vick hit it off with the coaches on the visit. He got to watch them interact with the players at practice. “I can tell you that LeGerald and Coach (Chad) Dollar are tight and hit it off good. He really loves Coach Dollar.” Playing in the ACC is another positive in Vick’s eyes.

All the schools recruiting Vick like him as a two guard. "They like his 6' 5" frame at that position."

In additon to visiting SMU and Western Kentucky, LeGerald is also getting interest from Auburn, Baylor, and Indiana. Indiana and SMU visited Vick on the 16th, Tech and Auburn will be visiting on the 17th, and Baylor on the 20th. SMU received a verbal commit from a shooting guard on the 20th. Will that affect their recruitment? "We got a call from the SMU staff and they told us that Shake Milton will be moved to point guard and that they are still hot after LeGerald."

After three visits, Vick has Tech in his top two or three. “He really likes the school, their basketball tradition, and the academics they offer." In the next week or two, LeGerald will decide whether or not to take his final two official visits. "He has had a lot of schools showing interest as of late so this will be a decision he will not take lightly."

Vick will be looking at several things when he makes his decision. Life on campus and how he fits in with the players and students are two things he’ll be watching. Being able to earn playing time as a freshman will be another factor in his decision. LeGerald is also looking for a good relationship with the coaches. “He wants to go to a school that really does care that the players get a good education." Top Stories
