Eric considers himself a Virginia Tech commit but he feels he owes it to himself to make sure he made the right choice. “I committed before I made a lot of visits and now this is my only chance to make sure.” Eric is now deciding which schools he’ll visit and when.

Whitehead has several schools that are contacting him and schools that stand out to him. "Georgia Tech really talks to me a lot as does Ohio State and Arizona State.” Whitehead plans to set up official visits to Georgia Tech and Ohio State."

The city of Atlanta and the academics are two things about Georgia Tech that stand out to Whitehead. “I have noticed that the players that graduate really step out of college with good jobs and that is hard to say about the other schools out there.”

Tech is looking at Whitehead to upgrade their defense. “I love the fact that they want me on their defense and that I can get early playing time.” Eric has talked to the coaches on the staff and likes what he hears from them.

An official visit to Virginia Tech is also in the plans for Eric. Whitehead will take his official the weekend of their game with Virginia. “I hope to have all the other official visits made by sometime in December.” After the visits, there is a chance that one of the schools could change his mind. "It will have to be one that really shows me a lot. By that, I mean really fits what I am looking for in a college.” Eric plans to announce the schools getting visits next week.

The next unoffical visit for Whitehead will be to Louisville for their Thursday night game with Florida State. Top Stories
