Calhoun, Georgia offensive lineman Jack DeFoor (class of 2016) and his teammates have advanced to the quarterfinals of the state playoffs. Jack has also been busy visiting schools as he looks for his future home.

The two most recent visits for Jack were to Atlanta to watch Georgia Tech defeat Clemson and to Clemson for their win over Georgia State. Jack has also been to Durham, North Carolina to watch Duke play.

DeFoor described the Tech visit as a great experience. “I had one of the best times I've had at game."

DeFoor thought the game would be a close one. He came away impressed with how Tech handled Clemson in all phases of the game. ” Georgia Tech has really improved as the season has gone along and that is impressive.”

Prior to the game, Jack toured the facilities and talked with other recruits as well as the current players. Georgia Tech Coaches Andy McCollum and Mike Sewak also spent some time with DeFoor. “They said they would be coming to one of my playoff games to see me play.”

Following the three visits to the ACC schools, DeFoor has Georgia Tech at the top of his list. “They really care for me and they are recruiting me the hardest."

Now that Tech has qualified for a bowl game and the ACCCG, look for Jack to make a return visit to campus to watch them practice. "I know I will come back to Georgia Tech anytime they want me to visit. That is how much I like them."

DeFoor and his teammates will face off against Elbert County on their home field this Friday with the winner advancing to the semi-final game of the state playoffs.
