Following a come from behind Georgia Tech overtime win over Georgia Saturday, GoJackets.com talked to some of the members of the 2015 recruiting class to get their thoughts on the Jackets 10th win of the season.
Jaylend Ratliffe - "It was great. I was so happy my guys won out. It was awesome. When I was at Georgia Tech for a visit, I became good friends with Harrison Butker. I screamed and jumped for joy when he hit that 53 yard field goal to send it in overtime. I was scared that Justin (Thomas) was trying to do too much but in the end Justin and the offense came through. It was just great."
TaQuon Marshall – “I am still excited from the game. It was an amazing game. Georgia Tech played Georgia Tech football. The defense and offense both settled in and showed that they are a very good team. I can’t wait to be a part of it. I’m already doing workouts to be prepared so I can help the team be even better next year.”
Omarhi Jarrett – “The win felt good, great. It is a relief to have the win and I am very excited about it. I’m excited to be a part of the team and knowing that the team will build off the win. I know tomorrow when I go to school I will have a big smile on my face, especially in 1st period, where all the people are Georgia fans including my teacher.”
Nathan Cottrell – “That was a hard fought win. It was a lot of back and forth and the players on Tech leaned on one another and pulled out the win. You could tell winning was definitely their goal. I’m very excited to become a part of that chemistry they have on the team. Since the day I committed to Georgia Tech, I’ve always been excited about this team and never thought about going anywhere else. The results from the game really do give a great feeling.”
Will Bryan – “I am very excited about the win. I’m so happy with the results. I’ve taken a lot of talk from my Georgia friends but now I have the win. Georgia Tech was awesome on the lines and I can’t wait to be a part of that. I can’t wait to see them play in the ACCG. My brother and I are going. “
Kyle Henderson – “Man, it was exciting. I was nervous at first but I knew it was just a matter of time before we won. You could tell that we were doing better on the lines on both sides of the ball after the first series Georgia had. Brentavious (Glanton) and I were texting and we were saying we are going to be even better next season. With what we have coming back and coming in with this class, I can see us back in the ACCG. It wouldn’t surprise me to see us go undefeated next season.”
Dante Wigley – “The game was awesome. It was exciting from the start until the end. Going into the game I had a feeling we were going to win. Our players have responded all season long and I didn’t see it stopping with this game.”
