Interest in Walker picking up

Mount Paran Christian (GA) athlete Dorian Walker recently led his team to the Georgia class A private state championship. His performance has led to increased interest in the 2015 recruit as we move closer to signing day.

Georgia Tech, Cincinnati, Clemson, and Georgia are a few of the schools looking at Walker. Dorian is glad to see the interest from those high major schools. “I've always believed in myself and that everything would come together for me once everyone could see what I can offer them.”

The latest offer for Dorian comes from Georgia Tech. "My head coach told me that Coach (Andy) McCollum extended an offer.” Walker was excited about the offer. Dorian’s dad went to school at Tech. Georgia Tech is looking at Dorian as an athlete.

Cincinnati and Clemson are two other schools taking a close look at Walker. "Clemson told me that they have a recruit they have promised a scholarship and if he takes it they will see if they can find a way to get one for me.” Dorian doesn’t have a preference as to which side of the ball he plays. “I know I'll play whatever position the coaches feel that will benefit the team the most."

Even though Walker’s dad went to Tech, he is supporting Dorian no matter what decision he makes. Dorian plans to take some official visits before he makes that decision. Walker doesn’t, however, plan to commit on any of the visits. "I'll take as many officials as I can and make a decision from those visits.”

Georgia Tech, Cincinnati, and Clemson are three schools that Dorian plans to visit. "I could also possibly visit Georgia."

Dorian currently has a few schools that he likes. The offer from Tech puts them in that category. "It was great getting the offer and Tech will be there all the way until the end when I make a decision." Top Stories
