Quaide made the trip to Atlanta with his parents for his official visit. “We had a really great time in Atlanta. We had a chance to see how great a place Georgia Tech is.”

It hasn’t hit Quaide yet that he’s about to start his college career. “I’m still in shock that I’m going to be playing football and getting an education from a world class place like Georgia Tech.”

The visit allowed Quaide to meet a lot of his future teammates as well as some of the commits in Tech’s 2015 class. Going out to dinner and attending the team’s banquet stood out to Quaide. “It was great seeing the team together and how well everyone gets along with one another."

Quaide and his family also met with the academic advisors. After reviewing his high school courses, they set up the classes for his first semester. Quaide will use the first semester to decide on his major.

Georgia Tech quarterback Matthew Jordan hosted Quaide on his visit. Jordan was also an early enrollee and was able to give Quaide some advice on getting adjusted to college life. “I don't think the coaches could have picked a better host.”

The Tech coaches told Quaide to be ready for spring practice. Quaide will begin a strength and conditioning program to prepare for the spring. Quaide is one of three scholarship B-Backs on the roster for the 2015 season. “They want all three of us to work hard and push one another to make each of us a better player.”

Weimerskirch was asked to request three uniform numbers for next season. Quaide requested his high school number (23), number 21 for being the 21st commit in the class, and number 28.

How did Quaide like his official visit? "The whole trip was just amazing to me and my family."
