Profile - Brandon Singleton
Hahnville, Louisiana wide receiver Brandon Singleton made his official visit to Georgia Tech this weekend. The Georgia Tech commit continues to get interest from other schools as we head into the final two weeks before signing day.
Singleton said he had a blast on the visit with fellow Louisiana commit Christian Campbell. The two talked about being roommates at Tech. “The two of us had a really great time getting to know the other recruits and getting better acquainted with the current players on the team.” Brandon liked what he saw from the chemistry on the team.
A tour of the campus and dorms, finding out about the academic support, and getting to see the football facilities were all part of the visit. Brandon also had a glimpse of what his opportunities might be like after getting his degree. “You have a lot of business opportunities at your finger tips.”
A meeting with Coaches Paul Johnson, “Buzz” Preston, and Ted Roof was also a part of the agenda. “They told me I was a big part of the class and they wanted me at Georgia Tech.” Brandon liked everything about the meeting. “It was refreshing to know I made a good decision to attend Georgia Tech."
Singleton is not sure if he will take any more visits. “My parents feel I should keep my options open but I am real comfortable with my decision to attend Georgia Tech.” Brandon has a lot of thinking to do this weekend. He is trying to understand why some schools are just now giving him offers.
Arkansas is one of those schools. They offered Brandon following his official visit to Georgia Tech. “I went to camp there last year and they didn't offer and now they have. I'm not sure what to make of it.” Brandon is not feeling comfortable with this situation in his recruiting process.
