Profile - Kiel Pollard
Kiel and his teammates finished the 2014 season as Georgia State champions. And for 2015, they return most of their offensive players and are looking forward to another run at the championship next season.
Georgia Tech has invited Pollard to Atlanta to visit the campus and to get to know one another better. “I know Tech will be a school I will be looking at because they have great academics.” Pollard was impressed with the campus and facilities when he and his team used the indoor facility last season.
With schools now holding Junior Days, Pollard has already received four invites. Georgia, Kentucky, Louisville, and Wake Forest have all invited Kiel to their Junior Days. He plans to attend all four. “I hope I get invited to some others - like Georgia Tech.”
Central Florida Coach George O’Leary and coaches from Alabama have recently been in touch with Pollard. Kiel expects others to also be in contact with his coach. "My coach said there will be more as it gets closer to the start of spring practice."
Pollard will be looking for a quality education and he’ll also be looking at the schools’ depth charts when making his decision. “I want to be able to play quickly and help my future team as soon as possible.” The school’s location will not be a factor in Kiel’s decision.
A decision date is something that Pollard has not decided on at this time. “I'll probably be the type of recruit that makes a decision when I feel real comfortable with a coaching staff and the team.” Pollard doesn’t want to be a recruit that flips after making his decision.
