Cooper Planning His Visits

Salem High School defensive tackle Behr Cooper is just getting started with his recruitment. The Conyers, Georgia junior is getting ready to start taking Junior Day visits. Behr is hoping that those visits will lead to offers.

Cooper has had several schools ask for his transcripts. His coach has also been receiving calls from schools asking about him. I’m looking for that first offer. It will be a special one to me."

Georgia Tech will be one of the schools that Cooper will be visiting for Junior Day. Cooper is looking forward to the visit on the 28th. “I really like Georgia Tech a lot and I hope they offer me." If he can arrange transportation, Behr also hopes to watch Tech at their spring practices. Attending the Tech summer camp is also a possibility.

Behr likes that Tech has been playing great football. He also likes their future. Cooper feels that the coaches there can make him a better player. Academics is also a consideration for Cooper. “I want to be a pharmacist and getting a degree from Georgia Tech would open those doors for me.” Being close to home would also a plus for Behr.

At 6’2”-280, Behr feels he’ll add more muscle and weight before he finishes high school. A definite position has not been discussed but Cooper feels he can play either of the tackle positions.

In addition to the Tech visit, Cooper will also has plans to visit Florida Atlantic. Behr knows that the interest in him will pick up once he begins taking more visits. The start of spring practice should also increase the interest in Cooper.

Cooper hopes to make a decision by the time he starts his senior year. Behr wants to have everything behind him in order to enjoy his final season in high school. Top Stories
