Tucker, Georgia linebacker Tabarius Peterson recently visited Georgia Tech with a small group of his teammates. Peterson was hosted on the visit by Georgia Tech secondary Coach Joe Speed.

The visit to Tech elevated Tech in Peterson’s eyes. “Coach Speed really showcased Georgia Tech.” The visit was an education for Tabarius as he learned things about the school that he never knew before.

Getting to see the academic side of things was one of the highlights of the trip for Peterson. Tabarius also got to see the campus for the first time. I never realized how big and beautiful it is.” Coach Speed also took Peterson and his teammates on a tour of the football facilities. “I loved the indoor facility and I loved how they are constantly upgrading the facilities."

Georgia Tech is one of the schools that has been recruiting Tabarius the longest. "Coach Speed and the rest of the staff have always made sure that I knew how much they want me there."

Tabarius has six offers including the one from Tech. Charlotte, Duke, Georgia State, Iowa, and Syracuse have all offered in addition to Tech. “Georgia Tech is my number one team."

The doors a Tech degree can open for him is one of the main reason Peterson has Tech at the top of his list. "I love the coaching staff and how much they want me there.” Finally, getting to see the campus was also a plus for Tabarius.

The temptation to commit is there for Tabarius but he wants to make sure before he makes his decision. He plans to visit other schools as well as getting back to Tech. "Right now I am going to Georgia this Saturday and then next weekend to Alabama"

While he has an early favorite, Peterson plans to make his final decision during his senior season. "I know I have a leader, but you have to be sure of your choice when you make it."
