Profile - Jakob Brashear
Dacula High School (GA) athlete Jakob Brashear played both running back and linebacker during his junior season for the Falcons. However, Jakob is getting attention from most of the schools recruiting him for his standout play as a linebacker.
Last weekend Jakob was in Atlanta to visit Georgia Tech for their Junior Day. The visit was followed by an offer from his recruiting coach at Georgia Tech, Coach Ted Roof. "I feel blessed to get it and the others that I have as well.” The offer from Georgia Tech is the one that stands out to Jakob. Brashear also holds offers from Elon, Air Force, and Illinois.
At the present time, Jakob feels that Georgia Tech is the school that is recruiting him the hardest. “To be honest, Georgia Tech is the school I am most interested in for college. They are my leader for many reasons.”
Georgia Tech likes Brashear as a linebacker. Jakob had some impressive stats at linebacker in his junior season. He compiled 74 tackles. 50 of them were solo. Jakob also had six tackles for a loss, six sacks, and three interceptions.
Brashear will have three factors in mind when making a college decision. Academics, the football program and the campus will be the three deciding factors. “I love Georgia Tech in all three areas."
When asked if he could be close to reaching a decision, Jakob answer was, “It’s a possibility.” Brasher has yet to set a date to make his decision. “It could be real soon or it could be around football season.”
Jakob doesn’t have any visits planned at this time. "I hope to back to Georgia Tech real soon.”
