Morgan County, GA athlete Jailyn Ingram is drawing interest from schools for both basketball and football. The 2016 recruit is being recruited as a receiver in football and a small forward in basketball. Ingram recently visited one of the schools recruiting him in both sports.

The most recent football offer for Ingram comes from Georgia Tech. “That makes them the only school thus far to offer me in both football and basketball.” Jailyn picked up the football offer on his recent visit to Tech's Junior Day. “It’s nice to know that both coaches at Georgia Tech want me to play there."

Coach Paul Johnson and Coach Mike Sewak both met with Ingram on his visit. Both coaches liked Ingram’s film at wide receiver. Jailyn has the size that Tech is looking for in their receivers. “I know they run the ball a lot but they do put receivers in the NFL, you have to see that. Their passing game is getting better and better."

Ingram toured the facilities for both football and basketball. He also had a chance to talk with Tech Coach Brian Gregory and Coach Chad Dollar. “They are looking for me to play small forward. They need a small forward for this class."

The coaches from both sports are fine with Jailyn playing both sports as long as he does what is expected of him as a student. “Sometimes you have to choose one sport though . I haven't really given it much thought as to which one I would play if I had to choose just one though.” Right now, Georgia Tech and FIU are the two schools recruiting Ingram the hardest right now.

If Jailyn chooses basketball, he will wait until the late signing period. “I want to see which school really wants me and in which sport that will be."

There could be a few new schools offering Ingram in both sports. "I feel Clemson and Tennessee are close to offering me in both."

Jailyn plans to return to Tech for their spring game in April and he also has plans to visit both Tennessee and North Carolina State.

When Jailyn gets tot he point of deciding on a school he has two factors he will use. The value of the degree from the school he chooses and his relationship with the coaches will be those two factors Jailyn will use in reaching his decision.
