Peachtree Ridge, Ga cornerback Baylen Buchanan committed to Louisville last June. Buchanan has since decided to take some visits to make sure that Louisville was the right choice. Buchanan has visited several schools and has more visits planned this spring.

Baylen has recently picked up three new offers. Georgia Tech, Indiana, and Georgia have all offered Baylen. The three new offers brings his total to eleven.

Buchanan made a recent visit to Georgia Tech and was surprised by what he found. Baylen had been to Tech for several games but had never had the chance to visit the campus and facilities. “The visit opened my eyes to a school I never thought Tech could be.”

The campus was bigger than Baylen expected and he was impressed with the academics. “The business school is highly ranked and that caught my eye.” Baylen is looking to do something in the field of sports management or sports medicine. “The business school would give me an amazing degree.”

Baylen met with Coach Ted Roof and Coach Joe Speed on his visit. “They are great guys.” Baylen said that he got that vibe from the entire staff. “I like the style of defense Coach Roof has installed at Tech and it is a place I could definitely see myself playing.”

The Tech coaches invited Baylen back for spring practice and the spring game. “I plan to do one of the two or maybe both.” Baylen also plans to visit Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Notre Dame. Kentucky may be another stop for Baylen as the Wildcats are close to offering too.

Buchanan doesn’t have a favorites list and is keeping an open mind as he continues to visit schools. “When I make a decision, whether it be staying with Louisville or choosing another school, I want it to be done without any influences.”

An early summer decision is in the works for Baylen. His decision will be based on the school rather than the coaching staff although the relationship with the coaches will have some bearing on the decision . Baylen will be looking to see if he is comfortable at the school and he’ll be looking closely at the academics. Buchanan will also be looking to see if the coaches play the best players regardless of their class.
