Profile - Jack DeFoor
Calhoun High School (GA) offensive lineman Jack DeFoor and his teammates received their state championship rings in February. Jack has now moved his attention to his recruitment. DeFoor has been visiting schools and plans to make more visits.
Coach McCollum let DeFoor know that Coach Paul Johnson usually likes to offer the offensive guys in person but they decided to offer him now because they really want him at Tech. “I was really relieved to get that offer.”
Jack said he really liked the times he has spent at Tech and was looking forward to getting the offer. “I always had a great time when I was at Tech and I could definitely see myself playing there.”
A conversation with Coach Johnson also took place. “He let me know how much he likes me and invited me back for another visit.” DeFoor will not be able to visit Tech for their Junior Day this weekend. He will be visiting Ole Miss and Mississippi State. Jack plans to attend a spring practice or the spring game at Tech, maybe both.
DeFoor wasn’t the only one happy about the offer. His dad was also excited about the offer. "He said Georgia Tech is a great school that had a great season and we both feel that this upcoming season will be even better."
Clemson and Coach Brent Venable’s continue to be one of the schools recruiting DeFoor the hardest. “I call them when I can.” Ole Miss is another school that is showing Jack a lot of attention. “We have developed a good relationship." DeFoor has both those schools as well as Tech at the top of his list.
DeFoor doesn’t have a time frame for making a decision. “When it feels right, I’ll know it and make my decision.”
