Profile - Devin Miller
Lanier High School, (GA) linebacker Devin Miller attended his first Junior Day this past weekend. Miller plans to take more visits this spring. The visit Saturday will give the 2016 recruit something to compare with when he visits those other schools.
Devin described the visit to Georgia Tech as an experience that he won’t forget. Miller was invited to the Junior Day by Coach Ted Roof. Miller watched the team scrimmage and talked to some of the players. “The visit was more than I expected it to be.”
The football facilities was one of the things that caught Devin’s eye. "The facilities at Georgia Tech are very good and they are staying on top of them making sure they are well kept." Devin also liked how the coaches got the players to play hard in practice. “I liked how spirited the scrimmage was. The players got after it.”
Tech is looking at Devin as an outside linebacker. Miller is currently 6’-195. Devin is known for his quickness and feels he’ll be able to sustain that quickness as he continues to gain weight.
Miller was invited back to Tech and he wants to see if the other practices and the spring game will be as intense as the scrimmage he watched Saturday. Miller has noticed that the college practices are more intense and more thorough than his high school practices.
The next visit for Devin will be to Georgia on April 11th. He will also be visiting Georgia Southern on the 18th. “I want to make sure I also visit Charlotte and South Alabama.” Both of those schools have offered Miller along with Georgia Southern.
Devin has no favorites nor does he have a schedule for when he’ll make his decision. He plans to visit as many schools as possible to see how many offers he’ll get. “I have schools that I like but I’m open to all schools right now. Making as many visits as I can will give me so much more to compare. ”
