Calhoun High School (GA) offensive lineman Jack DeFoor made a return visit to Georgia Tech this past Monday to watch Tech practice and to take a look at the academic side of things. Jack plans to return to Tech for another visit this month.

DeFoor got a tour of the campus, sat down with the academic people, and saw some of the football facilities. His previous visits had strictly been to see the football side of things. “This visit I got to see more of the school.”

After finishing with the academic side of things, DeFoor had a chance to watch the remainder of practice. “It was impressive that they were going at it like that in a spring practice.”

Coach Paul Johnson, Coach Mike Sewak, and Coach Andy McCollum all met with DeFoor. They all invited DeFoor back for the spring game and he plans on attending. That visit will be Jack’s last visit of the spring. Coach Johnson also talked to Jack about his post football future and the value of a Tech degree in making his decision.

The visit has Tech in Jack’s top three along with Clemson and Ole Miss. DeFoor still plans to make his decision when his senior season begins. “I don’t want to drag it out but I want to have enough time to make a sound decision.

DeFoor has a bad shoulder and will not be able to do any hitting when Calhoun starts their spring practice. He will also not be able to take part in any summer camps. Top Stories
