Hershey, Pennsylvania post player Dylan Painter and his AAU Team Final teammates finished the weekend with a 3-1 record. The weekend also saw Dylan continue to receive additional offers from the schools that watched him play.

Profile - Dylan Painter

Painter’s offer total has doubled since the end of his junior season. “It seems more schools are showing interest each week.” Schools recruiting Painter like his ability to score in the paint and outside with the three. One of the latest offers for Dylan comes from Georgia Tech. The offer came from Coach Brian Gregory. “He likes my versatility and my feel for the game.” Dylan likes the unique combination of playing in the ACC and getting a great education that he would get at Tech.

Coach Gregory and Coach Tom Herrion feel that Dylan could get quality minutes as a freshman. “I really want to be able to do that.” At 6’10”, Dylan feels comfortable either in the paint or taking his man outside.

Painter has been invited by both coaches to come to Atlanta to visit Tech. “They want me to get to know the players, the staff, and see the facilities and the city of Atlanta.” Dylan plans to do that but he’s not sure when. Most of his visits now will be to local schools like Villanova, Pittsburgh, and St. Joseph’s.

Painter is not ready to list any favorites. “I still want to take visits and learn more about each school.” Dylan likes that Tech plays in what he feels is one of the two best conferences in the country.

Look for Dylan to play all four years of his college eligibility. He wants to take advantage of the opportunity to get a free education while he’s playing basketball. Painter would like to major in some form of engineering.

Dylan hopes to make his college choice before the start of his senior season. “I will probably be signing in the early signing period.” Top Stories
