Ingram still pondering options

When we last talked to two sport athlete Jailyn Ingram, he had thoughts of playing both basketball and football in college. The Morgan County, Georgia recruit has now decided to play only one of the two. Before he chooses a school, Ingram must first decide which sport he’ll play.

Profile - Jailyn Ingram

Jailyn has picked up new offers in football from Troy, Michigan, Michigan State and Florida State. “I haven't picked up any new offers in basketball.” Ingram currently has seven football offers and five basketball offers.

Georgia Tech and Michigan State are the only schools that have offered him in both sports. Ingram feels that gives those schools an advantage. “It’s nice to know that they like me in both sports.”

Jailyn feels that it will be best for him if he concentrates on one sport. “Playing both will make it hard for me to manage my time properly. I want to make my college life enjoyable."

The task of choosing which sport he’ll play has been a difficult one for Ingram. “I will take some time to make that decision.” Jailyn will probably make that decision before he begins his senior year at Morgan County."

Georgia Tech offensive line coach Mike Sewak was one of the coaches to have recently visited Jailyn. “He told my coach that he is excited about my play and wants me to come up for a visit.” Ingram plans to visit within the next two to three weeks. “I understand the coaches at Tech really like my film.” The only visit thus far for Jailyn has been to Tennessee for their spring game. The visit to Tech will be the next one for Ingram.

The schools recruiting Jailyn like him at receiver in football and small forward in basketball. Top Stories
