Profile - Dedric Mills
Coach Mike Sewak from Georgia Tech was the first to watch Mills practice. “It was great seeing him. He and I are very close.” Coach Sewak extended an invitation for Mills to visit Tech this summer. “I plan on doing that the first part of June.”
Auburn and Florida State have also stopped by Ware County to watch Dedric practice. Arkansas is another school showing strong interest in Mills. Out of all the schools recruiting him, Mills feels that Tech along with Arkansas are recruiting him the hardest. "Coach Sewak says that I am the perfect fit at B-Back.” Dedric is 5'11"-215. Hitting the hole hard, good vision, speed, and tough running between the tackles are strengths that Dedrick feels would make him a good B Back.
At this point in his recruitment, Dedric has a top five of Georgia Tech, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida State, and South Carolina.
Mills feels that when he visits Tech in June that he could possibly commit. “I mean it’s the perfect school for me.” If Dedric sees everything he needs to see on the visit, there is a chance for a commit to happen.
The Junior Day to Tech earlier this year was one of the best of all the visits he made. Dedric plans to also visit Auburn, Florida State, and South Carolina this summer. Mills has also been invited to Alabama’s summer camp.
If Mills decides not to pull the trigger for Tech on his June visit, we could see a decision from him before he returns to school in August for his senior year. Location, being comfortable with the coaches, and a school that plays freshmen that earn playing time will be things Dedric will be looking for in making his decision.
