End of summer decision for Booker

De La Salle High School (LA) wide receiver Christian Booker traveled up from New Orleans to Atlanta Friday to attend the Georgia Tech football camp. Booker attended the camp hoping to receiver an offer. He may have his answer soon.

Christian enjoyed the camp and thought he did well. The subject of an offer was discussed. "The coaches want me to get back with them later this week and see how things are going on their end as well as my end.”

The Tech coaches liked how Booker went after the ball and made use of his body to ward off the defender. Blocking is part of Christian’s game. His high school runs an offense similar to Tech. “I have a big body at 6'4"-200 and I use it to my benefit."

The Tech campus and the city of Atlanta were two things that stood out to Christian on his visit. The Georgia Tech offense is also an attraction for Booker. “I’ve noticed that in spite of being a primarily running team, Georgia Tech puts wide receivers in the NFL."

Booker was invited back to Tech and plans on coming back during the 2015 season. Tulane, Utah, Southern Miss, and Cincinnati are some of the other schools showing interest in Christian.

Narrowing his list of schools is something Booker will be doing as he moves closer to a decision. Cincinnati, Tulane, and Utah are three of the schools that Christian likes. “An offer from Tech would definitely put them in my top three or four.” Booker plans to visit Tulane this Saturday and hopes to make out to Utah this summer.

The plan right now for Christian is to choose the school he’ll attend by the end of the summer. “I hope to have a hassle free senior season.”
