Omorogbe taking it day by day

River Ridge High School (Woodstock, GA) tight end/defensive end Stephen Omorogbe continued his pursuit of additional offers last weekend with trips to camps at both Duke and Georgia Tech. Stephen worked out at defensive end at Duke and offensive tackle at Tech.

Stephen spent Saturday at the Duke camp. They’re recruiting me as a defensive end.” Omorogbe also toured the renovations taking place with the football facilities. “I really enjoyed my time there.”

Omorogbe returned to Atlanta Sunday for the Tech camp. “I thought I did very well working at offensive tackle for the first time.” Stephen concentrated on his pad level and his footwork in the drills. “The coaches seemed pleased with the way I worked.”

Naming a top five or making a decision is not in the plans for Stephen right now. “I was told to expect my offer list to increase as schools watch me play.” Stephen feels it would be difficult to name any leaders at this time.

If all goes well, Stephen hopes to make a decision by September. “I plan on graduating early. I could wake up next week and pick a school if the feeling is right.”

Stephen has not planned anymore visits this summer but hasn’t ruled out taking more visits.

July could be the month where Stephen begins to trim his list of offers to a group of five to ten schools. “I hope it can happen that way. The only thing that is set in stone is that I will enroll early at my college choice.” Omorogbe will continue to take it day by day until he makes his college decision. Top Stories
