No top five yet for Banks

Sandy Creek High School (GA) has been a school that Georgia Tech has looked to over the years starting with Calvin Johnson and currently with safety Corey Griffin and defensive lineman Trent Sellers. Tech is also showing interest in 2016 recruit Korey Banks.

Profile - Korey Banks

Banks visited Tech a few weeks ago and spent time with Coach Ted Roof. “We talked about my recruitment and a time for me to return when Coach (Paul) Johnson is there.” Coach Johnson was on vacation on Korey’s previous visit and Coach Roof wants the two to meet on the return visit.

Korey is aware of the strong tie between Sandy Creek and Tech. “I really like the school, the campus, and their academics.” Banks hopes to major in computer or bio-medical engineering.

A return visit to Tech along with a few other visits should take place shortly for Korey. Banks wants to take those visits before he makes his decision.

This weekend Korey will attend the IMG camp and then he’ll visit Wake Forest. “After that I will visit North Carolina and hopefully squeeze in a visit to Wisconsin.” Korey will be making his college decision July 2nd.

There is no significance for the July 2nd decision date. Following the visits, Korey will sit down with his parents and discuss each school and then make a decision. “I haven't really set up a top five but the schools that I’ve mentioned are the ones that are really recruiting me hard.” Korey also added that those schools are the ones that he likes because of what they have to offer.
