Emanuel is looking forward to making his decision. “It has gotten to the point where it is a bit overwhelming for me.” Bridges plans to have his full attention on his senior season at Newnan.

“I’ve narrowed my list of schools to five.” Georgia Tech, Michigan, Ole Miss, Penn State, and Tennessee are the final five for Emanuel.

Bridges has already begun visits to those schools. Georgia Tech was the latest visit for Emanuel. “It was a great visit and I always enjoy myself when I’m there.” Bridges likes how Coach Ted Roof has kept it real with him. The next visit for Bridges will be on July 12 to Ole Miss. Emanuel will then visit Tennessee on the 18th. “Coach and I will also fly up to visit Michigan and Penn State.”

Ole Miss has been one school that has turned up the heat on Emanuel of late. “They are up there because of their recent surge but that doesn’t mean the others are out of it.” When it comes to making his decision, it will still come down to which school fits Emanuel the best.

The factors in determining the right fit will include how he feels about the depth chart, the coaching staff, and the degree he’ll be able to get at the school he chooses. “I’m not afraid of competition but I want to have a chance to hit the field as a freshman.”

While he’d like to make his decision before the start of his senior season, Emanuel hasn’t set a specific date. “I’m not a flashy type that wants to do a show or hat deal.” Emanuel will call all the coaches to let them know of his decision and then put his decision on Twitter. Top Stories
