The last time we talked to Parker he stated that Tech and Duke were his final two schools. Since then Parker did some research on the majors at Tech. “You have to take some calculus and a couple of science classes but in the end I will be getting a degree I want to pursue. Combine that with everything else, I just decided today to commit to Georgia Tech.”

There were several things that kept Tech in Parker’s recruitment. “When I played high school ball at Osceola, Florida we ran an offense similar to Tech’s.” Parker likes the “destroy your man” type blocking. His future teammates was another factor in his decision. “They are always thinking team first. I want to be part of that.”

When Parker decided on his major, it was just a matter of calling Coach Mike Sewak and Coach Paul Johnson to let them know of his decision. “It helps that I really got along with Coach Sewak.”

Parker’s family was excited about his decision. “They loved how the staff handled Trey and made him a great person. My parents feel like I am in great hands.”

Following his call to Tech, Parker called Duke to let them know of his decision. “They said they understood and wished me the best." Parker knows his decision is final and he now looks forward to his senior season. Top Stories
