Following a big win over McEachern last Friday, Peachtree Ridge, GA corner Baylen Buchanan is making plans to visit the schools that he’ll be looking at in making his final college choice.

Baylen recently attended the Auburn-Louisville season opening game and was scheduled to attend the Tennessee- Oklahoma game, this past weekend, but was unable to attend. “I have a lot of schools I want to visit.”

Georgia Tech is one of those schools. “They have really started out strong.” Baylen also plans to attend the Georgia-South Carolina game this weekend to watch both teams. “I also want to see another Louisville game to see how they are doing.”

Oklahoma will get an official visit from Baylen on October 3rd. “I’ve got a lot of schools I want to see but I don’t have enough time to get all of them into my plans.” Baylen plans to take game day visits to the schools that he likes the most. Georgia Tech, Louisville, Arizona, Oklahoma, and the Georgia-South Carolina game will be Baylen’s game day visits. Nebraska is another possibility.

Those are the schools showing Baylen the most interest. He keeps in touch weekly with Georgia Tech Coach Ted Roof. “He makes sure we stay in contact. We have a real strong relationship. He is a very cool guy.”

With all the schools on his list, Baylen probably won’t make his college choice until after the season. He doesn’t want to miss out on visiting a school. “Game day and official visits are so different from unofficial spring visits. You get a feel of how it is at the school on game days and to an athlete that is important.”

Baylen’s dad will accompany him on game day visits and his family will be with him on official visits. “They can see how it is and give me input.
