Coach Ted Roof and the Tech staff are still recruiting Banks in hopes of extending him an offer in the coming weeks. Banks was looking to see what Tech has to offer if an offer were to come his way.

Korey visited to have a chance to talk to the coaches and to watch both teams play. “I got a chance to talk to some recruits, the players, and the coaches.”

Coach Roof has been the main contact for Banks. “He has been great in keeping me up to date with their scholarship situation.” The two have also talked about how Coach Roof would use the two way athlete. “He keeps it real and doesn’t tell me things just to keep me interested.”

Patience is the word for Korey and Tech. “If things go as Coach Roof thinks it will, an offer could be coming my way.” Korey would like to have the offer and it would give him something to think about in his recruitment.

If an offer comes, Korey plans to sit down with his parents to talk about the offer. “The education and the fact that it is close to home would be a plus.”

Banks considers himself a North Carolina commit and has not had any discussions with his parents about Tech. “An offer from Tech would make me take a look at my recruitment.” Banks likes that if he did go to Tech, he would have some former teammates on the team.

Coach Roof has invited Banks back for another home game. Korey plans to return for the Florida State game. “I will probably have more time to talk with Coach (Paul) Johnson. I would like to do that.” Korey has not planned any other visits. Top Stories
