Jordan and his family were in Atlanta for two days. This was his mom’s first visit to Tech. “I can happily say she is completely onboard with my commitment to Georgia Tech.”

Johnson’s mom had already met Coach Lamar Owens and this visit allowed her to meet the remainder of the staff. “She needed to get answers and liked the answers she got. This made the trip a great one.”

Coach Paul Johnson and Coach Mike Sewak talked to Jordan about the offensive line depth chart. “They told me they graduate a few linemen and they are looking for me to come in a challenge for one of the tackle spots.”

Coach Saeed Khalif gave Jordan’s family a tour of the school. “I really liked seeing the academic side of things.” The rec center, locker rooms, and the players’ lounge were a few of the things that stood out to Jordan. “They have done a lot of nice things for the student-athletes at Georgia Tech.”

The Florida State game was one of the highlights of the game for Jordan. "It was really nerve racking until the last play. Then, a sweet sensation swept over me.” Jordan ran out onto the field and was a part of the celebration. “Being from Florida, it was nice to see my future teammates beat Florida State."

The visit also allowed Jordan to meet a few of his fellow commits. Jordan met Chris Martin and Xavier Gantt. It was his first time meeting them. “It was great talking with them in person and getting to know them.” The three of them are excited about their futures at Tech.

Jordan plans to make a return visit for the Georgia game. “I might as well get the feel of what it’s like to play against our arch-rivals.” Top Stories
