Profile - Elias Harden
Sandy Creek High School junior guard Elias Harden is closing in on double-digit offers. Saturday, the 6’5” junior was on campus of one of the schools that is showing strong interest in Harden.
Harden recently completed a successful spring and summer of AAU ball. “I like AAU just as much as high school ball.” Each has given Harden something that he likes.
Following the AAU season, Elias has continued to gain interest. “I’m up to ten offers and I’m hearing from new schools. Georgia Tech, Auburn, UAB, Georgia, and Texas Tech are among the schools showing Elias the most interest at this time. “I know there are some more but these are the ones that jump out at me right now.”
All of the aforementioned schools have offered Elias. All of them are looking at Harden as a shooting guard.
Georgia Tech and Auburn are two schools that feel that Elias could play either of the guard positions. “They like their guards to be versatile and play both.” Elias feels he could play either . “Being 6’5” is really nice. I can present a match up problem at the point with my size and also match up well at the two.”
This past Saturday, Harden visited Georgia Tech. “I got a chance to talk with the basketball players and sit down with all the coaches.” Elias spent time with Coach Brian Gregory and Coach Chad Dollar. It was good catching up with them and I got to see a great football game. It was an amazing end to a great game.”
Three weeks ago, Harden visited Auburn. He has also visited Florida. At the present time, Elias doesn’t have any other visits planned. “Sometimes visits happen when you are least expecting to take them.”
This past Monday, Elias and his teammates began preparation for an upcoming scrimmage on November 10th as well as the season opener on November 17th.
