South Forsyth, Georgia receiver Jalen Camp had a strong senior season that included 15 touchdown receptions and over 800 yards in receptions. Georgia Tech has given the Liberty commit something to think about by extending an offer.

The offer to Camp came from Georgia Tech Coach Bryan Cook. "He really likes my style of play. He said that my play is what Coach (Paul) Johnson looks for from a wide receiver.” The 6’2”-210 Camp has a chance to put more weight on his 6”2” frame.

The talk between Coach Cook and Camp was more about getting to know each other and seeing where they stood. "I’m committed to Liberty and feel I will remain that way but you can't ever turn your back on big time offers like this.” Coach Cook let Jalen know that he would be staying in touch with him. “He wants me to come to Atlanta for a visit.”

At the present time, Jalen doesn’t have any scheduled visits. “If the time is right and I can get to Tech, I can see myself visiting. I just don't know when. Coach Cook said he would get back to me on that."

Prior to his senior season, Camp hadn’t got much notice in the way of offers. "My recruiting hasn't been like some of the other guys that have twenty plus offers. I don't have much film out there so it has been a little tough on my recruitment.” Jalen has offers from Georgia Tech, Kennesaw State, and Liberty.

Liberty was the first to offer Camp. They have stayed with Jalen and he feels that it was the place for him. “I like the location and the degrees they offer. I will have to see if I stay with them all the way to the end of my recruitment."

The offer from Tech caught Jalen by surprise. He was happy to receive the offer. “Tech is a very prestigious place and a lot of great players have come through Tech. Now I will have to see if Tech could be the place for me or if Liberty is where I want to be."

The recruiting process has been a long one for Camp and he’s looking forward to signing day. When it’s over, he’ll enjoy the remainder of his senior year and he’ll get ready for college. “I’m very thankful to have this opportunity to look at the different schools and pick one out that fits.”
