GA Safety stays home!

Eric Williams of Metter, GA will stay home and play his college ball for the Jackets.

Eric Williams got an offer from Georgia Tech last week, and it didn't take him long to make up his mind.

"I committed to Georgia Tech yesterday," said Williams. "I just got my written offer from them in the mail today. I just love that school. It's a great setup they have there, and it's a great chance for me to get my degree. Coach Spencer was recruiting me for Georgia Tech."

Williams carries a 3.8 GPA into his senior season, and he is a two sport star at Metter. He had 114 tackles and 4 interceptions in football, and he scored 15 points a game and was the leading rebounder in basketball as a junior.

Metter is in camp right now, and they look to be a force to be reckoned with. They return 18 starters from a team that went 12-2 and lost to Dooley County to end the season. Metter becomes Georgia Tech's 4th Public Commitment. He is a 3 star player and the #19 safety overall by Top Stories
