Profile - Jayden Comma
Roswell High School (GA) junior receiver Jayden Comma began visiting schools a sophomore. A recent Junior Day visit left an impression on Jayden as he begins to take Junior Day visits.
Jayden didn’t have to travel far for his visit to Georgia Tech. Jayden found out things about Tech that made the school more appealing to him. “Simply put, this visit was probably the best visit I have experienced so far."
Getting a look at the academics helped to raise Jayden’s impression of Tech. "A degree from Tech is very valuable. I can see why more and more players are looking at Tech.” Jayden was also impressed with the coaching staff. Jayden saw that the Tech offense isn’t what other coaches were telling him. “I know I can be a great player in their offense.”
Coach Paul Johnson and receiver Coach Buzz Preston both met with Comma. Coach Johnson likes big receivers and at 6’2”-207, Jayden fits the bill. “He said he expects me to grow and add more muscle.” Coach Preston liked what he saw from Jayden’s blocking ability. “He said that he has me high on their receiver board. I wasn't expecting to hear about getting an offer from a school like Tech this soon."
Coach Bryan Cook talked with Jayden about being successful on and off the field. ‘He asked me to send him my transcripts to give to the academic people so that he could offer me. I can't begin to describe that feeling.” Tech will be a school that Jayden will continue to look at as he goes through his recruitment. “I think I could have a very good career at Tech."
Comma will continue his visits on the 20th with a trip to Mercer. He will also be visiting Wake in March. “I visited Mississippi State last spring and I’m waiting to see if they want me to come back for their Junior Day.” Jayden also plans to visit spring practices and spring games once they begin.
The lone offer thus far for Jayden came from Mercer. "I think Georgia Tech will offer once they see my transcripts. I've worked hard to make sure that I can get into most any college."
