Profile - Brian Anderson

Montgomery Catholic High School, Alabama 2017 offensive line recruit Brian Anderson made the first of what he hopes will be many more Junior Day visits. Anderson also had time, on his trip to visit another school from the same conference.

Now that signing day is over, Brian has seen the interest in his recruitment grow. He recently traveled to Atlanta for the Georgia Tech Junior Day. Brian also visited Wake Forest on the same trip.

Anderson described his visit to Tech as entertaining and eye opening. Anderson spent time with offensive line coach Mike Sewak as well as his recruiting coach Mike Pelton. “Coach Sewak asked for my transcripts and has started breaking down my film.” Brian feels that this will result in an offer from Tech.

Coach Pelton let Brian know that the staff has watched his film and they like what they see. “He said an offer is just a formality. Anderson said he wants an offer from Tech and that it would make him think about committing. Anderson currently has 14 offers.

Both coaches invited Anderson back to watch any of the spring practices as well as the spring game. “They gave me the dates and I will decide which ones I want to visit.” Brian is looking forward to watching the Tech offense and especially to seeing the offensive line schemes.

What position would Anderson play if he came to Tech? “Coach Sewak said he sees me as a guard or center when he watches me. I am fast, have a big build, and I hit hard” Brian fits what Tech is looking for at those positions. Brian prides himself in his run blocking. “I run block with the best of them and I feel I could fit in perfectly with the Tech running game scheme.”

A visit to East Tennessee is the next visit that Brian has planned. “They were my first offer.” Brian will also be working on setting up other spring visits.
