Stockbridge, Georgia running back Jalen Holston continues to add to his offer list. He also continues to talk to additional schools that may offer. This past weekend, Jalen visited one of the schools that has offered.

Jalen has described his recruitment as good, crazy, and hard. The good is that he has now received his 35th offer. This one coming from Minnesota. The crazy part is trying to cut his list to one school. The hard part will be telling the coaches recruiting him that he’s not going to their school. “All the coaches are
great and have been very good to me."

The most recent visit for Jalen was to Georgia Tech for their game with Georgia Southern. Holston and his teammates, besides watching the game, spent time with the coaches and players after the game. “I really loved my time up at Tech. It was a very good visit."

The coaches talked with Jalen about his majoring in sports medicine and the position they see him playing if he were to come to Tech. “I like B-Back and right now that is where the coaches would want me to play.” At 6’-211, and with his speed, the Tech coaches feel that Jalen would be a good fit for the B Back position.

Holston only lives a short distance from campus. On his visit to Tech, he received an open invitation to return whenever he wanted. “They want me to come back to see how much different it is from what opposing coaches are telling recruits.” Jalen liked what he saw of the campus. He also saw that Tech has a lot to offer when you’re not busy with football or school work. “That is important to know." Jalen plans to make that return visit.

A visit to Virginia Tech the last weekend of November is the only other visit that Jalen has planned at this time. He is also not publicizing his list of top schools at this time. “I can tell you that Georgia Tech is in that top list of schools because I know it will be asked. I like what I have seen and they are a state school that has a lot to offer a student-athlete." As things stand now, Jalen plans to make a mid-November decision.

Playing time will be one of the things that Jalen will be looking for in making his decision. “I want a chance to prove I can do the job and earn the job.” Jalen wants to major in sports medicine and the schools he is considering have that major. Jalen will make a choice and present it to his parents and they will then discuss that decision. “If we all agree, then that will be my school. If they feel another school fits me better, then we will discuss it more. Together I will have a school that fits exactly what I need to succeed in life.”
