Grant decision coming soon

Buford, GA four star running back Anthony Grant has received 15 offers. As he prepares for his senior season, look for Grant to receive additional P5 offers this spring.

Grant is satisfied with the way his recruitment is proceeding. He just recently competed at the Atlanta regional “Opening”.  “I feel I did very well. I think I could have done better but I am happy with my performance.  I’m not completely satisfied, but the only thing I can do is do better at the next one.”

Without question, the one in-state school that Grant feels is recruiting him the hardest is Georgia Tech. “Coach (Ted) Roof and I have formed a great relationship and he tells me every time we talk how much he likes the way I play and he wants me to bring that style down to Georgia Tech and play for the White and Gold.”

Anthony sees that the number of touches that he gets at Buford and the number of touches the A Backs get at Tech are very similar. “At Buford we have several good running backs and we rotate in and out a lot.” Grant like the idea of catching the ball out of the backfield from the A Back position. “Tech is a pretty good match for me as far as the offense is concerned. Plus, I really like Coach Roof and the rest of the staff.”

Overall, if there is another school that is recruiting Grant as hard as Tech, it would have to be Tennessee. “They are really recruiting me hard. They say I could be a big part of their offense and they want me up there as much as I can go until I make a decision.”

There is no doubt that you can expect to see Anthony back at Tech for their spring practices. “Coach Roof would wonder where I was if I didn’t come back. I plan on going there as much as I can.”

Anthony is in the process of setting up what visits he can before the start of his spring practice May 4th. “I’ve been told that a lot of coaches will be at Buford to see me practice.” Anthony is looking forward to that opportunity in addition to taking some visits.

Look for Anthony to make his college choice sooner than later. “I will either decide during my spring practice or just after it ends. Anthony wants to go into the summer with everything settled in order to enjoy his senior year.

The school that shows Grant the most love will have the edge in his recruitment. “I want a school that really wants me as both a player and a student.” Grant plans to enter the field of sport medicine. Anthony will also be looking at the team chemistry at the schools recruiting him. “My relationship with the coaches will also be a factor in the school I choose.”
